🎧 New episode of Riffin’ the Rubicon just dropped – and it’s a belter.
Welcome to another glorious shambles of a show.
This time we kick off underwater, literally, with the bizarre world of underwater rugby. Yes, it’s a real sport. No, I hadn’t heard of it either. I share a clip from Sky News where Nick Harvey from Pure Underwater Rugby joins them to explain how it works, why it exists, and whether anyone’s drowning (spoiler: sort of).
Then we shift gear from the deep end to the political drainpipe.
Farage bottled a Hamilton event, Reform UK’s had more resignations than active policies, and one of their MPs has gone full burka-ban despite it not being party policy. Cue meltdown. Party chair’s quit. So has their head of local government DOGE! Honestly, it’s beautiful to watch.
Meanwhile, over in billionaire beef land:
Trump’s throwing Musk under the bus for draining the US economy or something.
Musk reckons Trump’s in the Epstein files.
And both of them are spiralling like a pair of pound shop Bond villains.
Also this week:
🕵️♂️ One deeply troubling anonymous confession involving “birthday drinks” – if that was you, please seek professional help.
🗳️ A surprise by-election result in Hamilton, Larkhall & Stonehouse – Labour takes it by 500 votes, and I have a proper rant about the SNP’s current state (or lack thereof). Spoiler: I’m not happy.
📞 Lines are open during the live show, and I genuinely want to hear from you — whether you’ve got political rage, rugby questions, or a lighter confession (please).
Listen, comment, share – or just argue with me in the replies. All welcome.
