We all know that the word woke is being abused by some in the media. They use it to denigrate the left in general when really the word does have an actual definition.

The word woke, according to the Oxford English Dictionary means:

woke, adjective: Originally: well-informed, up-to-date. Now chiefly: alert to racial or social discrimination and injustice; frequently in stay woke.
